Blue Sky Lover : I am a glider pilot with over 500 flights. A glider is an airplane with NO motor, not a hang glider (large kite).

There is something very special about flying without a motor, using your skills and judgment to master mother nature's thermals, clouds, winds, and time. It is awesome to "ride for free", to race down cloud streets, to polish your canopy with the very bottom of a cloud, to thermal with hawks and large winged turkey vultures. The views out the canopy while your are competing against gravity is just wonderful.
